William Hill CEO Ulrik Bengtsson has welcomed the gambling review launched in the UK, saying the operator looks forward to engaging with the UK Government. Problem gambling is a complex issue that requires a multi-faceted response to ensure sufficient support exists for customers who need it and harm prevention measures improve. In July, we were one of five major companies to commit to increase our funding for research, education and treatment from 0.1% of UK gross gaming yield (GGY) to 1% over.

Timeouts
To help customers stay in control, we encourage them to take breaks from gambling. You can do this through the time out option, which lets you freeze your account for between one day and 6 weeks. Time Outs are available to customers with online accounts through the My Info tab, followed by Responsible Gambling.
Account restrictions
Account restrictions are available to Online account holders. It enables you to restrict access to certain products within www.williamhill.com, i.e. Casino, Poker, Vegas, Games, Bingo, Live Casino, and Skill games (not available on Sports, Virtual Betting or Lottery). Self-exclusion
For customers who are experiencing harm from their gambling, self-exclusion is an option to help them take back control. You can request to be refused service and prevented from gambling for a period of between 6 months to 5 years.

To make these self-exclusions most effective, we are committed to both the online and shop multi operator self-exclusion initiatives.
